You can start from the Saved Searches tab and click "Get started!" or on the home page, you can click Map Search.
There are many ways to create a search, first lets build a search from scratch:
- Navigate to the Map Search
- In the search bar on the left hand side where it says "Sacramento County (CA)", type in your desired county, city, zip code etc.
- Edit your Pricing
- Edit your Bedrooms and Bathrooms
- Select your desired Property Type
- Lastly Select any additional filters under More Filters
As you have been editing and selecting the criteria for your search, you will notice that your search has been changing along the way. Once you have filtered down and configured the criteria how you
would like, this is when you get to Save your Search.
- Click Saved Searches in the box in the upper right-hand corner
- Click Save This Search
- Name your search
- Select the box next to "Save as new search"
- Click Save
Now that you have saved a search, you can go back to the tab at the top of the page Saved Searches and you will see the search that you saved.
To navigate back to the search you just set up, click on the Name of the saved search.
If you would like to edit the saved search, click edit Here you have the option to do the following:
- Change the Search Name
- Change or Configure the Search Criteria
- Select to Receive Listing Alerts (or unselect the box if you do not wish to Receive Listing Alerts
- Select the Frequency of which you wish to receive listing alerts, Weekly or Daily
- Select a Notification Time that you wish to be notified at each day or week
- Click Save
The other way to create a Saved Search is through creating a Polygon Search:
- Navigate back to the Map Search
- Search for a specific location or move your map to your desired location
- On your map, in the top right-hand corner there is a box with a black square with dots on the four corners, this is the Polygon Search function. Click this button
- Click on the map around the location you wish to surround
- To close the Polygon, click your original point on the map
- You have now created a search around a specific area, if you wish to edit the criteria and filter it down some more, you already know how to do that as well
- Now you can click Saved Searches to create an additional new Saved Search
- Name your search
- Select the box next to "Save as new search"
- Click Save
